Vacation All I Ever Wanted

It’s been more than 2 years since our Alaskan vacation, and we have all been eagerly anticipating the next vacation for more than a year. The Friday after Thanksgiving, we packed then treated ourselves (including little girl) to manicures and pedicures before the trip officially started. Then on Saturday, we headed for San Juan, Puerto Rico, where our trip would really begin.
Our trip started very early, with our first alarm going off at 4 am. Annie was a little grumpy when we first got going, but she was super excited when it came time to start loading the car. by the time we got to the airport, she was all smiles.

Orlando bought snacks for the plane (I wouldn’t have picked Pringles for breakfast, but I wasn’t about to object when they made her this happy.)
Between the chips, and Diego on the computer, Anastasia was a super traveler.

The plane landed and while Orlando and Mark collected the bags, I snuck off to call Dad and wish him a happy birthday. We took a cab to the ship and received a glass of champagne as we stepped on board. Annie enjoyed a glass of fresh squeezed OJ.

Because we arrived early, we had plenty of time to unpack and relax before muster drill and dinner. Our trip included 5 islands: St. Croix, St. Kitts, Dominica, Grenada, and Tobago, ending with a day at sea to providing us with time to pack and rest before the flight home. But I’m making the trip sound too short. It really was a wonderfully paced trip with lots to remember.
A few highlights of what’s to come in the next few days:
